  • q:Why Choose Prompt Pass?

a: Prompt Pass has a proven track record to go over and beyond compared to its market competitors. We do not concentrate on the number of customers we get in through the doors like most of the competitors rather the overall success rate of the customers who choose Prompt Pass. We only use fully qualified driving instructors - ADIs (Approved Driving Instructors by DVSA).

  • q:Where is Prompt Pass based?

a: Prompt Pass is Birmingham based driving school which covers the entire West Midlands and further depending on client demand and business need.

  • q:Will you pick me up from home?

a: We aim to offer pick up from home in most of locations, however if you are outside of the City/local test centre (i.e. more than 15 mins drive) then you will need to travel to meet your instructor closer to the driving test centre (instructor can pick you up from a bus stop / train station for easy travelling). This can be discussed and arranged between the student and the instructor and nothing is set in stone.

  • q:What do I need to start and what should I take with me during my lessons?

a:  Prompt Pass driving instructor will need to see:
    - your provisional driving licence
    - print out of your driver record
    - We recommend taking a bottle of still water with you (each day).

  • q:What time and how long will my lessons be?

a: You would usually need to take time off work to do your course, as driving for one to four hours each day will be very tiring. Depending on your work you might be able to just take half days off work. Lessons usually take place in the mornings / early afternoons depends on instructor availability. If you require specific time schedule then this must be discussed at booking and confirmed that the times will be available prior to booking.

  • q:How do I pay for it?

a: The usual method of payment for the balance is a bank transfer to your driving instructor, however as we work with many instructors, some of them do not use online banking and might request cash payment on the day. You will be able to discuss this directly with your instructor. Failing to pay the balance as per the instructor request will result in loss of space with no refunds.

  • q:Will there be a refreshments breaks?

a: Yes, there will be a break about half way through your session. Your instructor will take you to a place where you can get a drink, use toilets etc. Typically local superstore (Tesco, Asda).

  • q:How does it work?

    a:

Typically you would start your course in a quiet location to get used to the car. Start with basic subjects such as moving off and stopping, junctions and other.

Once you feel more comfortable and master the basics we can introduce more challenging subjects such as roundabouts, crossroads, dual carriageways & other. Once you cover all the subjects you will usually carry out a “mock test”.

  • q:Do I need to pass my theory test before booking a course with you?

a: No, about half of our clients book their driving course & theory test at the same time. Because we operate a couple of weeks/months waiting list for a course, they use this “waiting” time to get theory done.

  • q:What if I feel ill during my course?

a: If you find that you’re too ill for your driving lesson, please notify your instructor as soon as possible. Be aware that our instructors have their own cancellation policies, with most requiring 24–48 hours’ notice.

  • q:Does the course include the test and the test fee?

a: The prices shown do NOT include the test fee and Prompt Pass does not facilitate the booking of the test the onus lies with the student to facilitate this and it will be discussed with the student upon booking of the course.

  • q:What if I need to cancel my lesson?

a: Your instructor will inform you of their policy regarding cancellations, which you are required to abide by. Typically, you will be required to give 24–48 hours’ notice.

  • q:What is your pass rate? Is it a guaranteed pass?

a: Unfortunately, there is no such a thing as a "guaranteed pass" as anyone can fail their test.

  • q:How do I make complaint?

a: We always aim to provide exceptional service to all of our students. If anything’s going wrong, we want to fix it as soon as possible. To make a complaint, please email us at info@promptpass.co.uk
